Gelsey encourages her in this (not surprising), but I try to tell her that she has her whole life to be logical, and only a little while to be a kid. She knows her supermax skill is logic, and she’s already very determined to max it out as quickly as possible. We have a little slide and a swingset out there now (courtesy of yours truly, and also Harper, who really pushed for the swing).īut above all, Imogen has really taken to the chess table.
The first thing Imogen wanted to do once she aged up was go play in the backyard. She’s got a lot of Francene in her, I think, and certainly a bit of Gelsey. Gelsey thinks she looks more like me, but I dunno. Maybe I swooped her down too close to the flames. She was a little nervous about the candles. I think we’ve grown pretty close, the two of us.Īnyway, here she is with her cake.
Her toddler years were challenging but buckets of fun. I’m excited to get to write about my daughter’s growing up years, though! Hurrah! Hi, Jarrett here! This is my first attempt at adding to the blog, so apologies if I mess things up at all.
